First time here, great customer service. My food was yummy we would definitely be back when in the area. Glad my co worker told us about this spot.

Great sandwiches, combos and salads. It was my first time despite living in Southbay for five years. We came on a Saturday afternoon and it was not packed, this was good. There are over twenty different sandwiches to choose from and you can make most of them into combos with soup or salad. The combos are almost the same size as regular salad orders (huge). The same suspects are available that you would see at any sandwich shop. But, here they have Cuban, Italian, and Southwest style sandwiches. The beef dips are amazing, I had the Cuban dip. This place is pretty good size considering it's location on Gaffey. Anyway you have to try it if you haven't already. Enjoy!

I've been coming to the Sandwich Saloon on and off since high school, so I've had my fair share of visits over the years. Even though I've lived in Northern California and New York for stretches, every time I came back home, the Saloon was always just a short drive away. Back in high school, when I didn't have my own cash and my taste buds were less refined, I thought this place was a real treat. As my palate and income grew, I started to see the Saloon for what it truly is: a reliable, local spot serving good sandwiches--but nothing that'll blow you away. There's something comforting about this place. It's not about fancy ingredients or cutting-edge recipes--it's a place where you can get a solid, satisfying sandwich. And sometimes, that's exactly what you need. No need for a standing ovation, but it's exactly what you can rely on when you want something familiar and satisfying. When I was in high school I thought that I was a forward thinking gormandizer by getting a Caesar salad with Chinese dressing or maybe it was the other way around. I just knew that I was being clever by mixing and matching, But in reality, I was being silly with confidence. But all youth do the same in one way or another- pretend to be a head of their time with odd choices. However, I see that as the privilege of youth--- having the space of choice to find oneself. Or in this case, finding the freedom of choice to find your taste in food. Right now, I am in a kick that revolves around their chicken salad sandwich. It is a creamy chicken melange. It typically comes with salad, tomatoes, peppers, pepporicini, and pickles. I take the sandwich but remove all ingredients that start with a p: but leave the cheese which is provolone. I know the flaw in my ordering, but, it helps me remember what I need to remove when I call. This place is unique because it has the basics--- like chops and soda but it also offers these choices and beyond. For example, when I go I often get Rrusty Island's Chips--- which are a unique treat that I do not see around a lot. The chips, to my palete, are extra crispy that other regular chips. This is just an example of how the Sandwich Saloon differentiates itself from other standard sandwich places. But what really makes this place stand out is there dessert offerings: mini key lime pies, brownies, and the top dessert choice: Chocolate Chip cookies, with nuts, that seriously taste like a dream come true. Sometimes I go and just get them cause their that good. Other times, I get a few to share with co-workers I like. If you have not tasted them, and you have a sweet tooth, I would do myself a favor and get them. The place has grown in its menu so it has a variety of things for many people. Like over the years besides salads, I have gotten chili, pickles, meatball sandwiches, and all of these different things. Apparently, now they have breakfast too. I would go here if you want something basic and good that will please you to satisfaction. If you went to college, or if you like college football, you will see emblems of major universities. My alma mater is located amongst the hanging flags. Golden Bears represent!

My husband and I were in San Pedro to board a cruise ship. We wanted to stop for a snack before we boarded. We didn't want to eat a lot, so we shared a Mini Combo lunch special. He ate the meatball sandwich, and I ate the chicken tortilla soup. It was only $11.80 and included a small drink. He said his meatball sandwich was good, but there wasn't enough sauce. My tortilla soup was fantastic! It had so many goodies that aren't usually in tortilla soup. I ate every last drop! They have sports memorabilia everywhere. It's a really cool place, and I'm sure we will stop by before our next cruise.

This is an absolute staple in San Pedro. Always tasty and clearly made with fresh ingredients. My favorite is the Greek sandwich. It's fantastic! You order at the counter, but they have great service regardless. You just order and they'll bring the food right to you! It's a sandwich shop, so it feels like a sandwich shop! There is plenty of seating or you can take it to go! A true San Pedro institution!

Stopped by this store while in the area. They have a great selection of cold and hot sandwiches, soups, fresh salads, kids menu and more. Picked a pastrami sandwich, loved it. Staff is friendly. Good service. Nice environment, clean, and friendly.

The good: I tried the turkey sandwiches with wheat bread as well as the French fries. It was unique they sold fries instead of just chips. The sandwiches were massive. I was full after half of one. I liked how nicely wrapped the contents were and the proportions of meat and vegetables. I liked the pickled peppers inside. The bad: I added Costco's everything mustard sauce to my second half because I felt like the sandwich was slightly bland or too dry from the bread (it had a dusty bread coating). It had adequate mayo and acid from the peppers yet it was still missing some flavor for me. The interesting: The French fries were chunky and starchy. I got this meal as a mother's day surprise delivery breakfast!
